Harvest Day was June 21st for the red cabbage.  All three heads weighed over 2 pounds.

It is easy to understand why the cabbage did so well when I got a look at the roots system that developed in the gravel.

Did you try cabbage with DWC? In my system I use DWC and soon NFT. But some veggies are difficult to grow up!

Luca – I only have media systems. It would be interesting to see how the cabbage would do in a DWC system. The weight of each plant could be an issue. The plants are very heavy and take up a lot of space. I do not know if I will grow cabbage again as it spreads out very wide and will over power other plants close to it.
