What goes where — for the external power componet January 27, 2012

Now that I have a power supply and a power jack I need to determine what goes where with them.  To start out I needed to understand how the power supply is configured.   This information will be found on the power supply somewhere.  It is different on every one, but it will be there in most cases.  Could be very small, but it will be there.

Here is what that looks like:

The black dot is the “CENTER PIN” location of the power supply.  Knowing this I can now assign (+) and (-) to my power jack leads.
